As an avid video game player, marketing strategist, and meditation practitioner, I have always been a bit fan of alternative simulated universes. Like many people, the first time I heard the term metaverse was when Facebook changed its name to Meta
I was immediately inspired to create the Metaverse Marketer brand. Here’s why:
Marketing used to be the “Mad Men” style of mass communication that influenced large groups of individuals according to their purchasing habits. But that was before everyone had phones. Most of us shared a perceived existence that couldn’t be fact-checked, canceled, or even influenced at times.
Thanks to the mobile phone, everyone is a customer to everyone else. Whether you are buying political opinions or selling designer clothes, everyone constantly participates and influences our new “meta.”
So I decided to create the Metaverse Marketer brand as a fundamental way to explore the topics relating to our emerging world. I believe that marketing is your brand’s way of not just telling a story, but creating your own meta.
If you do it correctly, the user experience feels better than just a successful marketing campaign, but an experience your users cherish and come back to time and time again.
When you let your marketing be boring and templated, your users experience that boredom and you lose. So for me, loving and enjoying having fun is a key asset in building a proper marketing foundation.
I now see marketing as different arguments for making a purchase decision. And there are some very bad arguments out there... There are also some really convincing arguments that you need to compete against. So how do you as a small business create a great argument that compete with the big dogs?
That's where I come in. That's what I do every day and I would love to help you make that argument for your business.
I'm from the generation that grew up with the internet, but didn't have a smartphone. I learned a more technical appreciation for what technology could do when we had an open sourced option available to grow the global community and better humanity.
And from there my life changed forever. I fell in love with digital design an UX design. Currently I work at Big Red Jelly as a Builder and Strategist, helping small to medium businesses expand their digital presence and build the foundation for their digital marketing ecosystem.
