Virtual Reality is a really unique and strange experience. With the release of Quest 2, many of us were able to enter the world of VR and experience it for the first time. But many people get bored or lose interest in VR after the initial excitement dies down. So today, I wanted to share 5 VR Experiences that are really just hidden gems. So let’s dust off your Quest 2 and try these 5 VR Experiences to bring back your VR excitement.
Everyone Should Try Working in VR
Contrary to popular belief, VR is not just about gaming. It brings a whole new social element to work, dating, games, and interpersonal connection that wouldn’t be possible 10 years ago. If you have only played BeatSaber on your Quest 2, you are missing out on an infinite world of VR opportunities. If you haven’t tried to do work in VR, it’s definitely worth trying at least once.
Virtual reality (VR) is revolutionizing the way we work. With VR, you can turn mundane tasks into immersive experiences and take your productivity to a whole new level. The Monday.com app is one of the best apps for those looking to work in VR, allowing users to manage their projects and collaborate with others in an immersive environment.
I Designed a Website in VR… Sorta
Using WordPress and Canva, our web design team at Big Red Jelly actually designed a pretty sweet logo and website for laughs and giggles.
Since VR natively supports browsers, if most of your work can be done in a browser, it can also be done in VR. We designed websites, logos and more in VR using the Quest 2 headset. Was it easier to do… no. But it was much more fun and interactive to feel your website floating around with your hand as you design it.
Working in VR offers numerous benefits and is sure to become an essential part of any successful business in the future. In 2023, it’s estimated that metaverse experiences will top the charts across hundreds of top brands that want to bring their apps to the Metaverse. Right now, productivity VR companies like Monday.com, Adobe, and Microsoft are bringing their famous productivity apps to the Metaverse.
How to Work in the Metaverse?
Working in the metaverse is becoming a reality for many businesses. With the help of virtual reality (VR) headsets and software, you can now work in a virtual environment that is just as immersive as the real world. This new way of working has opened up many opportunities for businesses to create unique experiences and collaborate with colleagues from around the world.
However, it is not necessary to have a VR headset to work in the metaverse. Without the Quest 2 and Quest Pro headsets from Meta, you can still access your workspace in the metaverse without having to purchase an expensive headset.
You can also use your computer or mobile device to access your workspace in the metaverse. This makes it easier for people who are unfamiliar with VR technology to experience what working in the metaverse is like without having to invest too much money into hardware.
Games in VR
Gaming in VR is an absolutely thrilling and life-changing experience. But you don’t need to be a gamer to enjoy gaming in VR. In fact, gaming in VR is something done by many adults to help get a good workout in. You can watch me get my sweat on in the Facebook live video down below:
Popular titles like BeatSaber, gunclub VR and resident evil 4 are amazing titles on Quest 2 that are a solid option for anyone wanting to pass the time but don’t want to sit around and watch TV all day.

Get Mindful with VR Meditation Apps
If you have always wanted to try meditation but feel like it’s a struggle to meditate appropriately, then maybe it’s worth giving VR Meditation a try. TheseVR apps take you on a guided meditation journey where you can perform meditation sessions of various lengths and intensities. For those that want to meditate, but feel like they struggle with techniques or it’s not easy for them to find the time. VR Meditation offers a variety of guided meditations from 15-30 minutes; so it is perfect if you have a busy schedule, but still want some mindfulness practice. It’s also available in other languages such as Spanish, Portuguese, French, and German. I won’t write too much about all the best VR Meditation Apps, because I already did that here but for newcomers, rest assured there are plenty of great ways to try meditation for free in VR.
In short, there are hundreds of Mental health benefits and serious reasons to consider meditation in VR. If you are looking for a solid meditation experience, we highly recommend trying it out using one of the three best VR meditation Apps on the Quest store
Unlock Your Quest 2 with Browser VR Apps
If you have never tried web VR, you are definitely missing out on some free experiences that are totally worth dusting off your Quest 2. There is an entire internet browsing experience that is totally worth a try if you haven’t done it before. You can visit websites such as Next Stop VR and explore the web using your headset. This is a really fun experience that’s perfect for exploring new places.
The Web VR browsing experience is great, but it should be noted you need to have a good network connection to do this. Connecting through WiFi might not work depending on how good your internet connection is and how many people are on at the same time. It also requires you to use a browser that supports WebVR, which means Firefox or Chrome are required for this to work. Using Quest 2’snative browser app, you can launch 3D websites that offer free VR experiences! You can do things like web-slinging like spiderman in VR and take VR tours.
There are too many to list in one sitting, so we will refer to the amazing article written by Adorama about the Best VR browser experiences. Check them out here: https://www.adorama.com/alc/best-vr-web-games/
